Anodising in Shipley, West Yorkshire

Anodising is an electrochemical process that converts a metal surface into a decorative, anodic oxide finish. The anodic oxide structure is made up of a layer of aluminium oxide on the surface of the aluminium which slightly increases the thickness of the metal. The aluminium oxide is fully integrated with the underlaying material which prevents chipping and peeling.

There are typically two types of anodising; the first is to provide a decorative finish and secondly hard anodising which is used when durability and added protection is necessary.

We are able to offer anodising as a subcontracted service for our many customers. The parts requiring anodizing are often wide ranging, however we tend to offer anodising on behalf of customers in the packaging, digital printing and subsea industries.
